Bio Image Print Page Richard J. Muscio, CPA, is a recognized innovator in the field of accounting, especially in the area of estate and family asset planning. His former CPA firm, now Friedman Brannen LLP, was the first in San Diego County to specialize in estate planning and design of intro-family gifting programs. Richard serves as a trustee for Friedman Brannen’s clients. He is also a charitable gift-planning consultant.

Richard has authored more than 40 articles for local publications. His expertise on estate planning has been shared with numerous TV and radio audiences, in his role as guest speaker.

Richard is on the board of trustees of the National Steinbeck Center Museum in Salinas, California. He also assists his wife, Mari, with her business, “The Brighter Side,” a boutique for women with cancer.

For relaxation, Richard runs marathons and plays baseball. He is the founder of the Oceanside “Turkey Trot,” a Thanksgiving morning 5k run that benefits Oceanside City Schools.
